We have now opened the application for scholarships for 2025.
Last day to apply is February 14 2025.
General information
Applications for scholarships at Vadstena-Akademien for the summer of 2025 are now open.
We offer a variety of scholarships. A scholarship will give you a deeper understanding of the practical and artistic aspects of producing, studying and rehearsing concerts and opera. Applicants are expected to have documented relevant experience from studies or work within the field. For information on how to apply, see below.
You can write your application in Swedish or English.

We are looking for the following instrumentalists:
Orchestra at Vadstena Castle (Alessandro in Susa)
continuo: July 8 – August 11
tutti: July 12 - August 11
Period instruments a=415Hz. As a member of the orchestra, you will play together with your mentor, the musical leader for "Alessandro in Susa". We are looking for the following instrumentalists:
Violin
Viola
Violoncello, tutti
Violoncello, continuo
Double bass, continuo
Teorb/arch lute/baroque guitar, continuo
Oboe I & II (one oboe plays recorder)
Bassoon
Trumpet/Baroque Trumpet
